August 1, 1851 is the date when BPI was established. BPI is formerly called "EL Banco Españo Filipino de Isabel II". During the spaniard colonization BPI was the first government bank in the Philippines. Now almost about 900 bank branches over the Philippines, Europe and Hongkong. About 3000 ATM and CDMs deploy all over these country.
